Alienware Aurora

Oh, forgot to mention that the Alienware Aurora has landed. It’s all setup and other than being a little on the noisey side, I’m quite pleased with it. The inside is all very neat and tidy and the machine is blazingly fast. Very pleased with the AMD64, though I still have yet to challenge it with some heavy processing, just games so far. Which have had amazing framerates :).

So I’d enjoy a slightly smaller case and quieter fans, but very nice.

  1. I ordered on 11/27 and it arrived 12/16 – so just about 3 weeks. I would give them a call – I’m sure they are quite backlogged, but it seemed to me that they only updated the status on the website when I asked about it. Every time I asked – through email, phone, whatever, I’d find out some progress had been made.As for the noise – it’s all relative. I think it’s quiter than my dell Precisions at work, but it was certainly much louder than the laptop my wife was using. Just wasn’t used to that noise at home, that’s all. But I’ve been more than pleased with the performance :).Good luck with it – I really enjoyed un-packing it. Once it finally arrived, it all seemed worth the wait, though the wait was excruciating.
